How to delete your data

You can disconnect bank accounts, remove shared data, or fully delete your OrbitFinance account at any time. Here is exactly how.

1

Disconnect a bank account

Open OrbitFinance and go to Profile > Linked Accounts. Tap the account you want to disconnect and select Remove Connection. This immediately stops new data from syncing. Previously synced transactions remain in your history unless you request full deletion.

2

Leave sharing groups

If you participate in any sharing groups, go to Sharing > Your Groups and leave each group before deleting your account. When you leave a group, your shared transaction data is removed from the group.

3

Request full account deletion

Email support@orbithub.co from the email address associated with your account and request account deletion. We will confirm receipt and delete all your personal and financial data within 30 days.

4

Revoke Plaid access (optional)

To revoke Plaid's access to your financial institutions independently, visit the Plaid Portal. This disconnects Plaid from your bank regardless of whether your OrbitFinance account has been deleted.

What happens when your account is deleted

When we process your deletion request, we remove:

  • Your account profile (name, email, authentication credentials)
  • All linked bank account connections and Plaid tokens
  • All synced transaction and balance data
  • Budget configurations, goals, and bill reminders
  • Sharing group memberships and associated shared data
  • AI insight history and cached recommendations
  • Notification preferences and push tokens

Encrypted backups may retain your data for up to 90 days after deletion, after which it is permanently purged. Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained.
